You've built success in your career, your family, and your life - but when it comes to your finances, there's a lingering feeling:

“I should know more about managing my money and
planning for the future by now.”

In this honest and action-oriented 4-part lunch 'n learn series, we’re cutting through the overwhelm and demystifying the essentials of financial planning - without the jargon, and without the shame.

This isn't a workshop - it's a conversation.

Who Is This For?

This series is for women who’ve built success on the outside - but feel like they’re missing something on the inside. Women who are strong, smart, and accomplished, but still feel a little behind when it comes to their finances. Women who’ve quietly carried the stress, the shame, or the confusion about money… and are finally ready to change that.

You might be:

  • Managing your money solo for the first time in years
  • Starting over after a major life shift like divorce or career change
  • Feeling embarrassed that you “should know more by now”
  • Tired of avoiding the hard questions - and ready to understand what’s really going on

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone - and you’re in the right place.

12:10pm to 12:50pm
Live Stream Chat on Facebook and LinkedIn

Topic: Where do I even start?

Get Grounded in Your Financial Picture - Without Shame, Spreadsheets, or Overwhelm.

“Years ago, I handed over the finances in my marriage to someone I trusted. Two years later, everything fell apart. I lost it all—and had no idea where I stood financially. That was the moment I realized how much I’d handed over… and how much I needed to take back. ~ Julie”

In this first session, we’ll have a real, honest conversation about what it feels like to be completely in the dark about your money—and how to start finding your footing again.

We’re not handing out worksheets or teaching budgeting strategies. Instead, I’ll share what it looked like for me to wake up financially, and the small, meaningful steps I took to begin understanding where I stood—without shame or overwhelm.

Whether you’ve never looked at a budget, haven’t checked your accounts in months, or just feel disconnected from your finances… you’re in the right place.

Investing Without the Intimidation

What Every Woman Deserves to Know About Growing Her Money

“After rebuilding the basics of my financial life, I realized I had no idea how to make my money work for me. The word ‘investing’ felt intimidating and out of reach - like something other people did. Smart people. Wealthy people. Not women like me, who were starting over. ~ Julie”

In this conversation, we’ll unpack the emotional weight so many women carry around investing - whether it’s fear of doing it wrong, shame for not starting sooner, or just confusion about where to begin.

You won’t walk away with a portfolio plan or a crash course in financial markets. But you will leave with a clearer understanding of what investing really means, why it matters, and how to start shifting from fear to possibility.

Through my own story, and with Matthew’s insight, we’ll open the door to a more empowered relationship with your money—one where growing your wealth doesn’t feel off-limits, complicated, or overwhelming.

Lunch 'n Learn Session #3

What's Enough?

Rethinking Retirement on Your Terms

“There was a time I couldn’t even say the word ‘retirement’ without feeling a wave of panic. I didn’t have savings. I had a pension, yes—but no clear sense of what life could look like beyond the next few years. Everything I thought was secure had crumbled. I wasn’t just starting over - I was redefining what ‘enough’ even meant. ~ Julie”

This session isn’t about charts, savings calculators, or timelines. It’s about peeling back the assumptions so many of us carry - about what retirement should look like - and starting to imagine what it could mean for you.

Through my own story of rebuilding from scratch, and with insights from Matthew’s financial planning lens, we’ll talk about how to reconnect with your future - not from a place of fear, but from a place of choice.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need a starting point that reflects who you are now, and where you’d love to go next.

Protect What Matters

Planning for Life’s What-Ifs—Before You Need To

“When everything in my life fell apart, I didn’t just lose money - I lost my sense of safety. I hadn’t thought to ask questions about protection, insurance, or what would happen if. I trusted the system I was in. But when that system broke down, I was left with nothing in place to protect me or those I loved. ~ Julie”

This conversation isn’t about fear. It’s about freedom - the kind that comes from knowing you’ve taken steps to secure what matters most.

In this final session, we’ll talk honestly about what it means to be protected - not just legally or financially, but emotionally. I’ll share what I wish I had known sooner, and how I’ve come to define protection on my terms.

Together with Matthew, we’ll explore simple questions every woman should be able to ask - and answer - about her future, her family, and her peace of mind.

Because you deserve to feel safe, informed, and empowered - even in life’s most uncertain seasons.

Why We Created This Series

I’m Julie Caldwell, transformational life strategist and founder of the #Ignite movement. I work with high-achieving women who are craving more alignment between the life they've built and the life they actually want. One of the biggest themes that keeps surfacing in our conversations? Money.

Not just how to make more of it - but how to feel confident managing it, understand it deeply, and make financial decisions that reflect your values.

That’s why I partnered with Matthew Henley, RBC Investment Advisor. Together, we’ve created a safe, supportive space to explore the real stories behind the numbers. Matthew has been guiding me through parts of my own financial rebuilding - and brings years of expertise, insight, and a unique approach that combines practical advice with personal connection. He’s the kind of advisor who helps you feel comfortable asking the questions you were too afraid to say out loud.

This series was born out of lived experience - from bankruptcies and divorce, to shame, fear, and eventually, empowerment. We created it to open the door to conversations most women have never been invited into—until now.
